The Effect Layer component applies visual post-processing effects to the scene. Effect layers modify all the objects below them in the layer list, so objects above an effect layer will not have the effect applied. Effect layers can be stacked to create complex effects, although on some platforms this can become a performance bottleneck.
Effect
The type of effect to apply. Options include:
- None - No effect.
- Bloom - Adds glow to bright areas.
- Blur - Blurs the image.
- Noise - Adds visual noise.
- Color Control - Adjusts hue, saturation, value, brightness, and contrast.
- Color: Desaturate - Removes color saturation with optional threshold.
- Color: Sepia Tone - Applies a sepia tone effect.
- Color: Filmic - Applies filmic color grading.
- Color: Chromatic Aberration - Simulates lens color fringing.
- VHS - Emulates VHS tape artifacts.
- Pixelate - Pixelates the image.
- Distort: Wave - Applies wave distortion.
Additional fields appear based on the selected effect type.

Strength of the bloom glow.
Threshold
Minimum brightness for bloom to apply.
Blur
Amount
Strength of the blur effect.
Noise
Alpha Amount
Opacity of the noise layer.
Blending
How noise blends with the image. Options are Opaque, Alpha, Additive, Darken, or Lighten.
Delay
Interval between noise pattern updates.
Black and White
If checked, noise is grayscale.

Hue shift amount.
Saturation
Saturation adjustment.
Value
Value (brightness in HSV) adjustment.

Brightness adjustment.

Apply Threshold
If checked, desaturate only pixels darker than the threshold.

Size of the pixels. Higher values = larger pixels.
